My M.A.C Collection & Review

Hello my lovelies! I'm here to show you my tiny M.A.C collection and my thoughts on the products that i own!

WARNING: THIS IS A VERY LONG PICTURE-Y BLOG!

I don't have many items from M.A.C ( a mere 6!) however i have already fallen in love with M.A.C! The quality of the products (98% of the time) is impeccable! I really like the packaging the pigmentation and the variety of colours!

M.A.C Big Bounce Shadow - Good Fortune

This product was used on me when i went to M.A.C for a 1hour make up application. I loved the way the make up lady (great grammar Genevieve!) used it on my eye and i just loved the all around look of it especially the colour!

It is a mouse type texture however it is slightly lighter and more runny.  It comes in a range of 16 colours from neutral to bright. It is priced at £13.50 which i think is quite reasonable.

However i find it very difficult to apply, the way it appears on the eye is very sparse, it is very hit and miss, some times it can look drop dead gorgeous other times you can hardly tell you have got it on! But when you get it right it looks AMAZING!

Studio Sculpt Foundation
Next Product is the Studio Sculpt Foundation,  lurrrvvveeeeeee this foundation so much! I haven't been using it that long as i was using the Revlon PhotoReady but it broke me out and my skin didn't like it and my sister Liv was using the Studio Scuplt and her skin didn't like it so we did a swap, and i love this and she loves the Revlon PhotoReady so bonus!

Shade: NW15

I'm not sure wether this shade is slightly too dark as Liv bought it for her holiday when she was more tanned, but it is still wearable it does not make me orange at all just leaves me with a healthy tanned glow!

It gives such a smooth finish and is so soft to the skin! It is is priced at £23.00 which i find very pricy and probably wouldn't have paid that before as i have herd that M.A.C foundations aren't really the best but as my sister bought it i thought i would give it a try, knowing how good it is now i would go out and buy it with my own money i love it that much!

Next up is a blusher, when i went to the M.A.C near me the make up lady did not use this exact blush, she used a cream blush but i mentioned that i wanted to start buying things that i was going to use almost everyday and get the use out of them. She then suggested that if i like the blush that she used on me (which i did!) then i should get a powder one which is basically the same as the cream one she used on me as they are better for everyday use!

Blush: Mocha

On the M.A.C website they describe the colour as "Soft Plum Pink" which i think is spot on, however i do think this is more of a winter blush than summer one but it is too nice to store away!

This is priced at £17.00 which i can imagine you going "wooow really?!" yes yes i know it is very expensive but in my eyes soooo worth it!

It brings a really lovely natural pink matt colour to the skin and compliments any age skin!

I only own one M.A.C lipstick and i treasure it because i adore it that much!

It is a lustre lipstick with a gorgeous vanilla smell.

Lipstick: Lovelorn

I like to describe this as a 'better than lip colour'. I like to use it as a everyday pinky nude colour as it seems to go nicely with every outfit.

There isn't much need for a lip balm under it as it is already very kind to the lips! This lipstick is priced at £13.50, i think this is obviously quite a lot more expensive than drug store lipsticks when you can most likely find a really good dupe! However i think that the pigmentation, the smell and how long it lasts really does put it above drug store lipsticks.

I have three M.A.C eyeshadows and i love all three of them! The first one is a shimmery champaign colour and is perfect for every day wear all over the lid! The colour that is shown on the website does not give this eyeshadow any justice i actually didn't like it at  all on the website but when i saw it in store i really liked it.

It is one of the best shimmer eyeshadows i have used as i much prefer matt eyeshadows to shimmer as i feel they suit my eyes more but this one did in fact win me over!

It is obviously highly pigmented and easy to blend and all in all is a pleasure to use, and for £11.50 is brill!

Next is a shimmery pink eyeshadow that i thought would be great for most days when i want a pink and brown look. I was slightly disappointed with it as it seems too shimmery. However it is still a nice colour.

Eyeshadow: Da Bling

I do HATE the name so much when i mention it in youtube videos i just want to cringe every time i say it, and it almost puts me off wanting to use it!

Despite the awful name it is still a nice eyeshadow and i have found myself using it on a regular basis ever since i purchased it!

The last eyeshadow is by far my favourite one out of all three! It is a Matt brown and i use it everyday!

Eyeshadow: Haux

In my eyes it does seem to have a pinky under tone to it which i love as i tend to use it with other pink shades.

I love the texture of it and for £11.50 i think it is outstanding, and i will keep repurchasing this for as long as they sell it!

I hope you didn't mind this very long post but since my last post a few people had requested to see all of my M.A.C products and my thoughts on them!

My love for Cath Kidston!

I thought i would share with you my love for Cath Kidston! I have a few products now and i looveeee them! They do such a range of products and they have such pretty paterns plus they are such good quality!

I have a large cream bag with has a pink flower printed on it with light green and grey dots.

Its a HUGE bag! I used it when i slept over night in the hospital recently looking after my boyfriends sister!

I have another bag which isn't as deep but it is wider and longer! And i think i will be using this as a school bag in september!
It is a lovely colour and i LOVE the pattern on it!
These are prised at around £40-50 but they are so worth it the quality is amazing!?

The next on in my collection is a make up bag! It is a really light ice blue colour with a peach and cream floral pattern.
It has one main zip pocket then a small one at the front.

I call it my Mary Poppins Make Up bag as the room seems to be endless!

My last thing is a purse! IT is shocking pink with white poker dots and i think this is my favourite item out of the lot!

It accomodates all of my purse needs! It has several card slots and a pocket for change!

I think of off these items are perfect for the summer as the patterns as BEAUTIFUL!

Lots of love to my wonderful Bloggers!

MUA is a Superdrug own brand, where originally everything was priced at £1. They have recently brought out a new professional range where the prices have been slightly increased but so has the quality! Overall in the past i have found that MUA products are generally hit and miss. But this palette is definitely a HIT!
This is a great every day palette and i think a lot of people will get a lot of use out of it! They retail at £4 which i think is brill for 12 highly pigmented eyeshadows! That is 0.3333333333333333333p (you get the point) per eyeshadow?!

They are all shimmer colours, which for me is a bit of a let own because i do love my matt colours!

The pigmentation of the colours is AMAZING! I was dazzled when i swatched them! The colours mix so well together and blend super duper well!

Next time you pop in to your local Superdrug stop by the MUA stand a check out there new palettes!

Have you tried the new palettes? What do you think?

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog please comment!

Monday, 4 July 2011

Hello everyone! So i thought i should really get in to blogging as i made a blog and have never done a proper blog post! So now i have finished for the summer and have a lot more time on my hands i thought i would get cracking with this blog!

So i'm going to do my 'Summer Favs' as most people like to call and as you will had probably gathered it is just products that i am really liking for the summer time! So here we go! P.S sorry some of the photo's are the wrong way i have learnt my lesson however it is 2.00 am in the morning and i don't have the energy to go back and take the pictures again :)

So my first product is the DKNY 'Be Delicious' perfume. I love it for the summer because it is so light and smells very fruity!

My Next product is a product that i use a lot and it is the 'batistee dry shampoo' as i'm trying to grow my hair therefore avoiding washing it as much this is great for those days in between washes!

Sticking to hair products, my next favourite is the 'Pantene Perfect Curls Curl Creating Gel Spray' fwwoooff that was a mouth full! So i use this when my hair is damp and give my hair a bit if a scrunch and it give a loose beach wave look with takes 2 mins worth of effort but looks great for the summer!

The next item is the 'Body Shop Sweet Lemon Body Scrub' this is one of my favourite exfoliators of ALL time! the tiny little beads in it really give your skin a good scrub without hurting my sensitive skin and leave me smelling lush!

Now on to make up products, this is my favourite thing all together at the moment and it is the MAC Big Bounce Shadow in 'Good Fortune' it is a lovely pinky cream/mouse great for a quick effortless summer look! People don't tend to like these as they crease, however if you find a good primer or if you use it on its own just keep rubbing it in slightly every so often then its fine!

My favourite blush this summer is MAC's blush in Mocha, it is a lovely subtle plumy pink, it gives a very natural matt look perfect for those summer nights but can be worn both in the day and night!

I couldn't pick a favourite lipstick so i had to cheat and pick too, i know cheeky! They are both quite similar colours, however the Beauty UK is a bit darker. The Mac lipstick on the left is call 'LOVELORN' it is a beautiful pink lustre lip stick and glides on beautifully! On the other hand they Beauty UK lip stick has a very strong minty smell and doesn't go on as smooth but is still a beautiful matt colour, it is number 3  'Snob'.

This next product is my all time favourite product for all year round! It is by far the best liquid eyeliner i have EVER tried it is remarkable and i would highly recommend it! The Loreal Super Liner glides on so well and is so easy to use and is perfect when it comes to a simple eyeliner look or a flick!

My favourite foundation this summer has to be the Revlon PhotoReady, it gives a effortless dooey finish great for the summer, it stays on most of the day and does not make my skin break out like the colour stay foundation did.

My last product is obviously a mascara and i chose the Rimmel London Glam Eyes Day 2 Night Mascara. Even though the name is quite cringy as they have tried to be 'cool' and 'down with the kinds' by using the number 2 it is a great mascara, with the magical double wand in one principal it offers the best of both worlds, great for creating several looks for the summer and lasts all day without flaking however a bit of a warning it is quite a wet consistency so give it time to dry!

Thank you so much for reading please follow and let me know what you think!
Lots of love!
